"I visited monkey place 1/20/26 and fell in love with the charm. The welcome was warm from the moment we walked in. I had a fish Casado, fish ceviche and a strawberry juice. The food was phenomenal and the plates are generous so i had food to take. I 100% will be back. Definitely worth a try!"

"Soda Monkey’s Place is an absolute gem in La Fortuna. The food is amazing, full of fresh flavor, and the portions are generous. There’s plenty of free parking, which makes visiting super convenient, especially compared to some of the busier downtown spots. The staff is incredibly friendly, and many of them speak English, which makes ordering easy for travelers. I also loved seeing their kids helping out and learning the family business. It gives the place an extra touch of warmth and authenticity. Their frozen margaritas are made with fresh fruit, and you can truly taste the difference. Out of the six different Sodas we’ve tried in La Fortuna. This one stands out as our favorite, tied only with one other spot. The Casado Pescado is especially delicious, bursting with amazing flavor. They have a fresh homemade spicy Salsa as well that makes you drool 🤤 The drinks here are the largest we’ve had anywhere in town, and the prices are very reasonable. It’s definitely more affordable than many of the other locations downtown. Overall, Soda Monkey’s Place is easily in the top 3 Sodas in La Fortuna. If you’re in the area, give it a try. You won't regret it!"

"If you want authentic food, with a homemade feel this is the perfect place. The service is amazing, prices are very reasonable and the hygiene is top notch. We had the Chifrijo and the Smoked ribs, both plates were 10/10, didn’t give us a bloated feeling. We also tried the nachos, hands down the best nachos I’ve ever tasted in my life ! 100% recommended, you won’t regret it !"
