"My favorite spot in La Fortuna 🤍 Free natural hot springs with warm, relaxing water such a hidden gem. There are two main access points, but go to the one on the right side of the road (after crossing). It’s way less crowded. If you end up on the wrong side, just cross over and you’ll find fewer people. I went during the day and there were only about 6 people — amazing experience. I’ve heard it’s also beautiful at night with candles and people bringing drinks 🍻 100% recommend. IMPORTANT: there’s no signal at all. Make sure to arrange your Uber or taxi in advance. We ended up walking over an hour in the sun trying to get internet and couldn’t. Plan your ride back ahead of time!"

"definitely go at night & with others. the vibes are top notch and i could stay there for hours. with my traveler eSIM, i didn't have any service there. so i recommend you coordinate a pickup with your uber driver before they leave after dropoff, or alternatively walking to tabacon to get service. it can be a little spooky at night since it's hard to see, but it was my favorite activity in la fortuna regardless."

"YES, the water is warm! Took a red taxi here to avoid the lack of public parking and had a wonderful time; visited for just an hour and paid our exceptional driver, Murillo, to wait on us and to then take us back to our hotel. It IS free but I do not suggest anyone who is NOT sure footed to visit as you literally walk down a rock trail full of trip/slip hazards... We visited early in the morning to avoid crowds as it does get crowded especially on weekends"
