Tabacón Thermal Resort and Spa

"We stayed three nights at Tabacon Thermal Resort. Overall, it was a good experience- there was a small gym, the garden was very well maintained and the staff was friendly. The room was very spacious with a big balcony and a garden view. The hot spring was also nice, and there was a shuttle bus departing every five minutes or so. What could have been better is that there were only two restaurants at the property, one of them being at the hot spring part, and without a shuttle service to the town, our lunch and dinner options were pretty limited. The breakfast was ok, not the best but also not terrible. Lastly, the room decoration could have had more “ characters” but the housekeeping service was good and the room was spotlessly clean."

"Our stay at Tabacón was absolutely incredible. The service was amazing from start to finish — every staff member was friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. The grounds are beautiful and perfectly maintained, surrounded by nature everywhere you look. The hot springs were the highlight of the trip and easily the best we’ve ever experienced. Relaxing in the thermal rivers and pools felt like paradise. The food was also delicious, with great quality and presentation at every meal. We were also surprised and impressed that they prepare your room for the night each evening, which added such a thoughtful touch to the experience. Yes, it’s an expensive place, but honestly it was completely worth it for the experience, atmosphere, and level of service. A truly unforgettable stay in Costa Rica."

"Over all a great stay and would recommend! Our visit to Tabacon was fantastic! It offers all the amenities you need in a hotel, including a pool, spa, gym, and more. The highlight of our stay, however, was their thermal pool and waterfalls, which are just a 2-minute drive from the hotel. The hotel provides a convenient shuttle service that departs every 5 minutes, making it easy to reach the pool area. The breakfast was delicious, but our dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was a complete disappointment. The prices were incredibly high for small to medium-sized dishes, and the waiter was constantly trying to upsell us on appetizers, drinks, wine, and water bottles. It felt more like a sales pitch than a friendly service. Overall, we had a great stay at Tabacon and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient hotel experience."
