Hotel Eco Arenal

"Clean rooms with everything in working order. Only the bathroom smells bad sometimes. All the rooms have a small terrace and a fridge which is nice. The water is very drinkable. Breakfast was great with plenty options and the coffee was very good. The gardens are nice but the location is not within walking distance of La Fortuna."

"Awesome hotel. As a first time traveler from the US, it was hard deciding where to stay. This place ended up being great. The receptionist lady was amazing. The breakfast was also great - buffet style! We found all sorts of animals from frogs to howler monkeys on the property. The pool was also great. The rooms had A/C, a fridge, blow dryer, warm water, and were clean. I always felt safe here - even at night. This is Costa Rica… there will be bugs. It’s not a big deal. Definitely would recommend staying here!"

"I read some mixed reviews before I stayed here and I don't know why anyone would have anything but nice things to say about this hotel. The service was friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a room with two beds on the river. The room was updated and we saw so many birds and even monkeys from the balcony. The grounds are very well maintained and the room and common areas were super clean. The pool was simple but very clean and just what we needed. Breakfast is also excellent with a variety of local food options as well as things like pancakes and toast. The hotel is a $5 Uber ride from town, and there were always many ubers available. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes for a ride. Laundry service is available daily as well. We had a fantastic time and would stay here again."
